Peyote Stitch Patterns & Tutorials

Peyote stitch is the most versatile bead weaving technique there is: rows of seed beads interlock like tiny offset bricks, forming a smooth, flexible beadwork fabric. It is the stitch behind most beaded earrings, bracelets and pendants — and once you get the rhythm of the "step up", it becomes wonderfully relaxing.

In my tutorials I work mostly with Miyuki Delica 11/0 beads — their perfectly uniform size keeps every peyote stitch pattern crisp. Start with flat even-count peyote, move on to odd-count, and when you feel confident, try triangle peyote to build 3D shapes like my kite and triangle earrings.
